AI and ML Dominate IABM BaM Awards® Entries at IBC2024
The IABM has announced the shortlisted entries for the 2024 IBC edition of its BaM Awards®, which recognize innovation across nine categories in the BaM Content Chain®, as well as an outstanding project, event, or collaboration. The shortlist was selected from over 140 entries by a panel of 40+ non-affiliated, expert judges.
Behind the Scenes
AI and ML were a focus in many entries, but no purely AI or ML products were submitted. Instead, these technologies were used to improve and speed up current products and workflows.
Stan Moote, CTO at IABM and chair of the judges, noted that this shows AI/ML is significantly impacting the industry, but in a more controlled manner than initially predicted.
The Create content chain segment had particularly strong submissions, challenging the judges in deciding the eventual winners.
Shortlisted companies include Adobe, Eluvio, Irdeto, TAG Video Systems, and Verizon, among others.
The Breakdown
Judges will examine the shortlisted entries in detail and visit the stands of shortlisted companies at IBC2024 to complete the judging process.
Winners will be announced and presented at the BaM Awards® reception and presentation ceremony on Saturday, September 14th.
Winning entries will automatically be submitted for IABM's prestigious Peter Wayne Golden BaM Award®, with the winner announced in December 2024.
