New Collab: Cuebric & Disguise

Disguise and Cuebric just launched a partnership integrating Cuebric’s AI scene generation tool into Disguise’s VP platform.

Why don't we use the power of AI in order to minimize the repetitive parts…and then maximize the extraordinary, which is the creative spark.

  • Generate scenes in Cuebric. Use Cuebric’s tools to fine-tune the environment and then segment and dimensionalize into 2.5D scenes.

  • Cuebric generates an AI depth map, allowing camera movements in just about any direction.

  • Scenes are exported in a single click to Disguise and automatically mapped to an LED environment with the correct Z-depth.

Disguise already has documentation on using Cuebric to generate 2.5D environments.

With virtual production today, you have this entire gamut of tools you can pick from. You have the incredibly complex and also highly controllable real-time game engine assets, right? And then the other end of the spectrum, you have the incredibly inflexible and static things, like a video plate. So there was a hole to fill. And that hole is something that the creatives can get behind and control, but also that's fast and cost effective. And today we have arrived at that solution.

Sony’s VP Toolset

Sony just released a new toolset for virtual production designed for working with the Venice and Sony’s LED panels.

There are two tools in the set: an Unreal plugin and a color calibrator

Some of the features:

  • Virtual Venice Camera inside Unreal

  • Moiré Alert

  • Settings transfer from Unreal camera to actual Venice camera

Exploring Secret Weapon Studios’ Hero Tools
