The Cinebot Mini

Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC) just announced its newest camera robot: the Cinebot Mini.

The Details

Here are the specs, according to Videomaker

• Supports cameras up to 22 lbs (10kg)

• Reach of over 4 feet (1.3m)

• Mount on a pedestal or track

• Weighs around 74 lbs (33.5kg)

• Battery power option to run for up to eight hours

The Controller: Your Hands

One of the more innovative designs is the controller - there isn’t one.

You can manually move or ‘handhold’ the camera in various positions and the robotic arm will record them so you can easily set and reproduce a move.

You can also control the robot with a mobile device and the MRMC Tracker app.

Trending: More Accessible Cinema Robots

The Cinebot Mini continues a trend we saw at NAB: smaller, easier to use cinema robots.

SISU demoed their C20 Cinema Robot, which was portable enough to take on location.
