Prime Day Deals for the Studio & Office
Day 2 of Amazon’s fake holiday to get you to spend more money (even though every day is Day 1 at Amazon).
Nothing mindblowing, but we spotted a few good deals on computer accessories, cameras, and some Apple gear.
Here’s the breakdown:
Computer & Camera Gear
This one is actually one of the best deals: 50% off my favorite mobile hard drive, the 4TB Samsung T7 Shield ($200).
Engadget has a good roundup of all the cameras on sale. Notable deals
$500 off Sony A7 III
$500 off Panasonic S1H
Elgato has deals on just about all their gear, including up to 30% off the Stream Deck
Apple Gear
$100 off AirPods Max ($449)
25% off iPad Mini 6th Gen
12% off iPad 10th Gen ($529)
$88 for AirTag 4 pack (I don’t check bags without these now)
For the Office
15% off YETI Rambler
Almost 50% off the Hypervolt massage gun (I know some cam ops that now require this in their contract)
Tapping into the buying spirit, Hot Rod Cameras and Filmtools are also running their own sales, with some really good deals on Aputure lights.
FYI: All the deals are based on US Amazon rates, there might be different deals in other countries. Also, the links may be attached to ours or a third party’s affiliate code.

What’s the FPS of Reality?
Filmmaker IQ explains the science behind why 20,000 FPS is what it would take to simulate reality (may need to wait until Gen 2 or 3 of the Vision Pro to roll this out).
Around the Web
NASA is experimenting with using VR and XR to analyze and interpret complex data.
Indian company Reliance Jio is launching a $16 VR headset called the JioDive (it's a nicely built headset to hold a smartphone).
