AI & VP: What Vu's Tim Moore Sees for 2024
New at IBC, Procreate's Anti-AI Stance
Welcome to VP Land!
Another interesting week (millennia?) with AI - and the divides are splitting further and further.
Popular iPad drawing app Procreate said they won’t incorporate any Gen AI into their products, taking an opposite stand against the direction Adobe has gone in.
But where do you draw the line between what’s ‘Gen AI’ and what’s actually useful AI to help artists work faster and better? This is something we partially explored in our Utility AI doc.
As MKBHD noted - does this mean they’ll never offer any new features in the future?
And on the flip side - I spent way too much time generating the most realistic-looking images I’ve seen yet with a Flux Lora model trained on my likeness.
Merging AI and Virtual Production together - we’ve got a great conversation with Vu’s Tim Moore on the blend of the technologies he’s been seeing, plus a whole lot more.
Let’s jump into it!
Vu’s Tim Moore: VP, AI, and More
The state of virtual production is rapidly evolving, with trends pointing towards more accessible technology and the growing influence of AI.
We sat down with Tim Moore, CEO of Vu, one of the largest virtual production studio networks, to share his insights from his recent report on the industry's trajectory.

The future of human-computer interaction may move away from traditional input methods towards more intuitive, multimodal interfaces.
